DESCRIPTION:Drypoint Etching \n\n\n\n\nThis one day workshop will introduce you to the magical processes used by Rembrandt and his many followers to the present day. Subjects covered will be the care and correct procedures in a busy print environment\, and the correct use of the etching press. We will be using a safe mordent on zinc plates. Subjects covered include the safe mixing and use of copper sulphate crystals with salt in a water bath\, plate preparation and grounding\, smoking the plate\, drawing on the plate\, etching the plate\, inking and wiping the plate\, proof printing the plate\, and presentation and care of prints. \nWe will also be doing Drypoint on aluminium.\nAll materials are provided for this workshop\, just bring an open mind and a sense of humour…! \nLimited numbers. 12 to 14 maximum.
